This is a placeholder. Replace this page with a real privacy policy before launch, especially if you run AdSense, analytics, or any cookie-based ad partner — those require disclosure and, in many regions, a consent banner.

What this site currently does

• Serves static pages and a JSON feed — no server-side tracking by default.
• May set a localStorage key (theme) to remember your light/dark preference. This stays in your browser and isn't sent anywhere.
• The daily digest form submits your email address to a third-party provider (Buttondown, or whichever you configure) to send the newsletter.
• If you add ads (AdSense, EthicalAds) or analytics, they will set their own cookies/trackers — document them here.

Before you launch

1. Name the site operator and a contact address.
2. List every third party that receives data (ad networks, email provider, analytics).
3. Add a cookie-consent banner if you use cookie-based ads.
4. State users' rights (access/delete) per your applicable law (GDPR/CCPA/etc).
5. Swap the placeholder domain (aidatagathering.org) for your real one in robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and the canonical / og:url tags on every page.
6. Add a real 1200×630 og:image social preview graphic to each page.
7. Remove the <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> tag on this page once it's a real policy.
